In 1981 Bhagwanpersad Gangaram Panday, a high school student at that time, saw the need for improvement of party / disco and stage lightning. Bhagwanpersad successfully lounged a party / disco & stage lightning rental service. By the time he received his technical degree in 1984 Bhagwanpersad was heading his own electric installation company, managing a team of seven employees. In 1988 he founded ELTO – Electro, Lightning & Technical Company. The performance of ELTO made it possible to acquire several major dealer– distributorships. ELTO grew from a retailer to wholesaler, distributor in household appliances, electronics, electric installation material, lightning fixtures, lamps, refrigeration products and parts.
